Day 4 - Leaving Hong Kong
W: After a good night's sleep we rise ridiculously early, 5.30ish, last minute packing and our last breakfast at the Y (we'll miss this - quite a highlight).
Off to the shuttle bus for a last look at Kowloon before we head off to the airport. Checked in at the Cathay Pacific desk at Kowloon Airport Express station (excellent system) and on the train to the airport. Had a look around the shops at the airport. I'm keen to buy one of the solar powered blobby men that we've seen everywhere in Hong Kong, but they're Japanese so I'll have a look there. Wonderful Giordano shop at the airport had budget priced carry on luggage, even better as they are having a 30% off sale, so we buy one each as we need the extra space already!Wheel our stylish new luggage to gate 69 which is a long long long way. Thinking we had plenty of time we arrive as the flight is boarding. Flight is good, feels like we're going to Japan now because many of the passengers are Japanese, as are a couple of the flight attendants. Ate strange vegan lunch, watched Supernanny, Queer Eye, You Are What You Eat, Will & Grace. Saving up Charlie and the Chocolate Factory for the long trip home.
T: Before even leaving HK we've decided we need to come back soon, probably next year. Knowing that we're coming back I don't feel sad at all to be leaving after such a short visit. It will be nice to come back.

Hi,
What diferences did you notice between Hong Kong and Kyoto?
I'd really like to explore all those cultures, because they're so different to ours occidental traditions.
(sorry about my english, I'm still learning)
Bye. Paulina from Chile.
Hi Paulina,
Kyoto was very different from Hong Kong, at first we missed the energy of HK but the Kyoto magic soon took over. And Tokyo was very different again, we really liked Kyoto...
